On the anniversary, the DPRK people recall the undying feats performed by Kim Jong Il while guiding the Songun (military-first) revolution.

He put forward the KPA as the driving force of the Songun revolution and led it to work admirable miracles in the socialist economic construction as well as in the defence of the country.

True to his intention, the servicepersons gave full play to the unparalleled mental and militant power of the revolutionary army in the efforts for the prosperity of the country and the people's wellbeing.

Typical of the achievements made by them in the 1990s is the Anbyon Youth Power Station. To successfully build this vast station, the servicepersons displayed the self-sacrificing spirit and the spirit of devotedly carrying out the Supreme Commander's instruction.

Their ardent patriotism and fortitude resulted in emergence of many monumental edifices representing the era of Songun. Among them are Pyongyang-Hyangsan expressway and Thaechon, Nyongwon and Huichon power stations.

They also include Chongryu bridge and Kumrung Tunnel No. 2 whose construction were finished in less than one year, Mujigae Tunnel, Kaechon-Lake Thaesong Waterway and the land realignment across the country.

Intensely loyal to their Supreme Commander's idea and guidance, the servicepersons built flawless, modern factories and stock farms and other edifices, conducive to the improvement of the people's living standard, one after another. Typical of them are Ostrich Farm, Majon Hotel, Taedonggang Beer Factory, Hwangju Chicken Farm and Taedonggang Combined Fruit Processing Factory.

There are also Kuwolsan Recreation Ground, Songam Carven, Ullim Falls, Fish and Meat Shop in Pothongmun Street, Changjon Street, Ryugyong Health Complex and Rungna People's Pleasure Park, which are associated with the servicepersons' fixed will to translate into reality Kim Jong Il's behests and the people's ideals.

All those achievements are a result of the spirit of devotedly defending their leader cherished by the KPA who has grown up to be the guardian of the country and the maker of people's happiness under the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu.
