Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Minjok Thongsin, an internet newspaper of Koreans in the U.S., on Dec. 19 carried an article written by Ri Jun Mu, head of the Uruk Symphony Orchestra. There is a song sung by service personnel and people in the DPRK with ardent yearning for General Secretary Kim Jong Il almost every day. It is immortal masterpiece "Where Are You, Dear General?", the article said, and went on: This song deepened loyalty among all service personnel and people to the leader at forefront posts, factories, rural and fishery villages, scientific and research institutions and construction sites. The song resounded forth far and wide during the period of the Arduous March. It served as a weapon that helped the people weather stern trials hard to endure. Singing this song of faith, the people in the homeland shared inmost stories with Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il and could advance with redoubled courage. Admirable sons and daughters in the homeland who paved more than 40-km long roadbed sang this song in a grand chorus involving 50 000 people, looking up to the blue sky above Pyongyang where Kim Jong Il was working. Indeed, the service personnel and people of the DPRK victoriously concluded the Arduous March with this song and cheerfully covered the road of the forced march. This song provided a source of their tremendous strength. They turned out with transparent ideological readiness and reclaimed the Taegyedo Tideland as a grand structure in the Songun era, singing this song. They thus produced Juche fiber, Juche steel and Juche fertilizer. Singing this song, the flames of Hamnam (South Hamgyong Province) flared up, signal successes of CNC-based machine industry were achieved and Changjon Street and Rungna People's Pleasure Park in Pyongyang and other cradles of happiness appeared. The DPRK will truly keep to its road of victors under the wise leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un, more loudly singing this song as a song of their conviction and struggle in the future, too, just as they emerged victors with this song. |
