The statement said Kim Jong Il successfully carried forward the immortal exploits of President Kim Il Sung in the army building and the DPRK has achieved great unity of the army and people rare to be found in the world under his Songun revolutionary leadership.

He put forward the KPA as the core force of the Korean revolution and pursued the Songun policy in an all-round way, it said, adding:

The KPA has resolutely frustrated the provocations by the U.S. imperialists and south Korean warmongers and defended world peace and security.

The statement highly appreciated the victory and feats of the KPA.

Today the revolutionary cause of Songun in the DPRK is being successfully carried forward by Supreme Commander of the KPA Marshal Kim Jong Un, it stressed.
