The Nigerian president in his message expressed deep condolences on behalf of the government and people of Nigeria and his family on the occasion of the first anniversary of demise of Generalissimo Kim Jong Il, peerless patriot and friend.

He said that Nigeria was looking back with deep emotion on the great efforts made by Kim Jong Il to improve the living standard of the Korean people and promote the international friendship and understanding.

He noted that he was deeply moved by the friendly care shown by Kim Jong Il for him and his country and he deemed it as happiness to see Nigeria's ideal to develop the bilateral ties beginning to come true thanks to the care.

Paying high tribute to Kim Jong Il once again, he hoped that the strategic relations between the two governments and the two peoples would continue developing.
