Minju Joson Discloses GIs' Crimes in S. Korea

Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- Four GIs who deserted from the U.S. Second Division in Tongduchon in south Korea have been seized recently. They smuggled raw materials for drugs and sold them for a long period. This crime can not just be considered as a mere commercial wrongdoings but deserves stern punishment as it is a grave politically motivated crime of violating the sovereignty and interests of the Korean nation. Minju Joson Thursday says this in a bylined commentary. Citing facts to prove that this drug crime is part of the history of the U.S. imperialists' aggression on the Korean nation and its continuation, the commentary goes on: Since their occupation of south Korea the U.S. imperialists have perpetrated all sorts of criminal acts, imposing unspeakable misfortune and pain on Koreans. Soldiers of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces recorded shocking atrocities in the 20th century such as the Yun Kum I murder case and the case of painting a woman in Tongduchon. Their crimes continued in the new century, too, as evidenced by the death of two schoolgirls by armored car. This betrayed their true colors as murderers. GIs' crimes reported in a row in south Korea and Korean nation's sufferings and pain are entirely attributable to the U.S. imperialists' hostile policy toward the DPRK. The damage the Korean nation has suffered at the hands of the U.S. imperialists amounts to astronomical figure. They are the sworn enemy with whom the Koreans can never live under the same sky. It is the supreme historical task facing the Korean nation to pull the U.S. forces out of south Korea as early as possible in order to hand a reunified country over to posterity and for the Koreans to live in peace. The U.S. imperialists had better make apology before the Korean nation for all atrocities and crimes they committed in Korea and withdraw from south Korea without delay. |
