Rodong Sinmun Dismisses U.S. Military's Much Fuss about "Provocation" and "Threat"

Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- The U.S. military brasshats are accusing the DPRK of going on with "its ceaseless provocations," not giving up its nuclear ambition and launching its long-range missiles and posing even a threat of nuclear proliferation. They are letting loose a spat of piffle that "north Korea's challenge and provocations like its development of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles amount to a potential threat to the U.S.-south Korea alliance, the world peace and security." Rodong Sinmun Friday observes in a bylined article in this regard: The ulterior motive of the U.S. is to make the "threat" from the DPRK an established fact at any cost in a bid to justify its anti-DPRK propaganda and achieve its sinister aims. The U.S. keeps making much fuss about "nuclear threat" of the DPRK because it considers that it can achieve the objective of its policy to isolate and stifle the DPRK with ease by labeling it a "dangerous state" and a "nuclear criminal" in the eyes of the world as the nuclear issue is a sensitive one on which world attention is focused. The U.S. imperialists are making much ado about "provocation" and "threat" from the DPRK on the basis of their carefully worked-out strategic scenario. The keynote of the U.S. Asia-Pacific strategy is to prevent the appearance of any country or a big power that may challenge it by dint of its military edge and expand the sphere of its domination. The U.S. attaches particular importance to the DPRK in carrying out the strategy. It is the calculation of the U.S. that it can contain big powers in the Asia-Pacific region and establish its domination by using the Korean Peninsula as a strategic stronghold only when it is put under the U.S. control. That is why the U.S. persists in its anti-DPRK moves. The U.S. keen on dominating the Asia-Pacific region has stepped up its arms buildup and war maneuvers, posing a serious threat to the regional countries. It is working hard to seek a pretext to pass the buck for this to others. Nonexistent "threat" and "provocation" from the DPRK are precisely that pretext. The U.S. whose preoccupation is aggression and war leaves no means untried to justify its moves for a war against the DPRK, vociferating about its nonexistent "military threat." This row, however, will get it nowhere. With no rhetoric can the U.S. war-like forces cover up the essence and danger of their policy for invading the DPRK or deceive the world. |
