At the meetings reports were made by Jon Yong Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, and Ro Song Sil, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the Korean Democratic Women's Union. They were followed by speeches.

The reporters and speakers said it was a historic event of great significance in strengthening the revolutionary armed forces of the DPRK and accomplishing the cause of socialism that Kim Jong Un was held in high esteem as supreme commander of the KPA.

Kim Jong Un worked heart and soul to develop the KPA into the army of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and into a strong revolutionary army of Mt. Paektu capable of destroying any formidable enemy at one blow, they added.

Those at the meeting of the youth and students stressed the need for them to fulfill their mission and duty as the Songun youth vanguard, cherishing the pride and self-confidence of holding in high esteem the heaven-sent great men of Mt. Paektu.

Those at the meeting of the women's union members stressed the need for them to thoroughly establish the traits of attaching importance to the military affairs throughout the country, value soldiers as their kith and kin, sincerely help them and actively contribute to bolstering up the defence capability.
