The State Symphony Orchestra gave a concert and the State Folk Art Troupe a music and dance performance at the People's Theatre in Pyongyang.

The performers sang high praises of the immense pride and self-esteem of the Korean People's Army and people who are blessed with leaders, generals and supreme commanders generation after generation in such numbers as orchestra "Glory to Our Great Party", female solo "Song Dedicated to Comrade Kim Jong Il" and orchestra "Footsteps".

The Samjiyon Band of the Mansudae Art Troupe gave a performance at the People's Palace of Culture. It put on the stage female sextet "Our Satellite Lifted Off to the Sky", female solo "My Great Country" and other numbers.

At the Pyongyang Grand Theatre the movie persons gave light comedy "Love". The National Circus gave a circus performance at the Pothonggang Circus Theatre.

Colorful performances were given across the country, adding to the festive mood.

Celebrations, oratorical meetings and other colorful events were held in various parts of the country.
