Rodong Sinmun Monday says in a bylined commentary in this regard:

Japan's moves are a revelation of its criminal attempt to step up the modernization of the "Self-Defense Forces" with the support of the U.S. and realize its ambition to become a military giant and launch expansion overseas.

This clearly proves that the Japanese reactionaries' ambition for overseas expansion remains unchanged but has reached the danger line, the commentary notes, and goes on:

It is their real intention to take an active part in a war of overseas aggression in case of need after legitimating the Aegis ships' operation in battles by relying on Japan-U.S. alliance if a U.S. warship is attacked.

The additional deployment of the mobile radar and modernization of Aegis ships are aimed to realize the sinister intention.

When the DPRK successfully launched satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2, the Japanese reactionaries acted like those caught in persecution mania. The Japanese warlike forces repeated the assertion of the U.S. that the DPRK tested a long-range missile, and they regard it as a pretext for intensifying the SDFs' capabilities for preemptive attack.

If Japan comes out for overseas aggression, it will be as foolish an act as jumping into fire with brushwood.

The Japanese reactionaries should face up to the situation with cool head and mind such issue as the settlement of the past.
