Lee busied himself touring army units in the forefront area on Dec. 27, inciting the atmosphere of confrontation with the DPRK.

The traitor accompanied by staff members of Chongwadae inspected an observation post and searching battalion of 15th Division of the Ground Force stationed in south Korean Kangwon Province. He blustered "they should never forget that they are standing in confrontation with the north" and "the enemies can not invade the south thanks to the strong security posture."

On Dec. 26, the south Korean Marine Corps staged marine firing exercise with 130mm MLRS Kuryong and K-9 SPG and other artillery pieces in the most militarily sensitive areas of Paekryong and Yonphyong islands.

This is part of the last-ditch efforts of the Lee Myung Bak group of traitors to retrieve the failed policy of confrontation by making the next regime carry forward the moves for a war.

Extreme bitterness toward the fellow countrymen in the north and the attempt to escalate the confrontation were clearly revealed in the "2012 white paper on defense" issued recently.

The white paper termed "the government and army of the north" the "enemy" of south Korea and defined the "northern limit line" as "the substantial maritime boundary line" between the south and the north which has been defended since it was set on Aug. 30, 1953 and the southern waters from the "northern limit line" as "waters under the control of south Korea".

The "white paper on defense" has been published since 1967. But this is the first time that "the northern limit line" was officially specified as "the maritime boundary line" in "the white paper on defense." This fact clearly shows what extent Lee's confrontation hysteria has reached.

By escalating the confrontation with fellow countrymen till the last day of his office the Lee group seeks a sinister purpose to prod the next regime into racing along the orbit of aggression against the north laid down by it.

The Lee group's attempt to seek a way out in the escalated confrontation will only lead it to self-destruction as it increased the danger of war on the Korean Peninsula after bedeviling the inter-Korean relations through confrontation with fellow countrymen, depending on outside forces.

It is the truth of history that those who resort to confrontation with fellow countrymen and moves for a war are destined to meet only a miserable end, cursed and condemned by the nation.

With no plots against the DPRK and confrontation racket can the Lee group escape a stern punishment by the nation.
