DPRK's Important Anniversaries Marked Abroad

Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- Colorful events took place in different countries on the occasion of the first anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il, the 21st anniversary of his assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army, the first anniversary of the dear respected Kim Jong Un's assumption of supreme commandership of the KPA and the 95th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.

Remembrance meetings and film shows were held in Russia, Thailand, Indonesia, Mongolia and Japan between Dec. 20 and 25, 2012.

"DPRK Declares with Bitter Tears" and other Korean films were shown.

The first secretary of the Maritime Territorial Committee of the Russian Youth Union said:

Kim Jong Il performed the undying feats for the Korean people and the world people, putting the cause of building a thriving socialist nation of Juche and the human cause of independence onto a new high stage.

I am convinced that Kim Jong Il's behests will be successfully realized thanks to the firm faith, pluck and immense enthusiasm of Kim Jong Un.

The Maritime Territorial Committee of the Russian Youth Union will make positive efforts to strengthen friendship and solidarity with the Korean youth under the slogan "The Great General Kim Jong Il Will Always Be with Us."

The secretary for ideological affairs of the committee noted that the undying feats of Kim Jong Il who turned the DPRK into a nuclear weapons state, a space power and a military power will be kept in the hearts of not only the Korean people but the world people forever.

The director of a company of Thailand said the film made him deeply feel once again the greatness of Kim Jong Il and the deep trust of the Korean people in him.
