Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- An article introducing the Pyongyang Folk Park was posted on the internet websites of the Austrian and Nigerian organizations on December 26 last year. The Society for the Promotion of the Relations between Austria and DPRK carried an article under the title of "Pyongyang Folk Park" illustrated with a photo introducing the park, an open-air museum. The article said that lots of architectural buildings have been arranged in 1:1 or miniature size in the park, adding that they include those that were built as grand monumental edifices of the era under the wise leadership of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il as well as excellent archaeological sites and relics associated with the wisdom and talents of the Korean nation in the period ranging from the primitive society to the feudal dynasties that existed on the land of Korea. It said that the people are spending a pleasant time, playing folk games in folk games district in the park. The park has been systematically, intensively and finely built on the principle of historicism to meet the architectural need so that visitors can learn about the history and culture of Korea, it noted. The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea edited an article entitled "Place reflecting 5 000 years of national history". The article said that going around the park any one can clearly know the whole history of Korea because it vividly presents fifty century history of the nation. |
