The Korean People's Army Song and Dance Ensemble gave a performance at the April 25 House of Culture.

The performance started with national anthem.

The repertoire included male chorus "Long Live the Workers' Party of Korea", orchestra "General Uses Art of Shortening Distance" and mixed sextet and male chorus "Our Leader Loved by People".

The performers sang high praises of the undying revolutionary feats of the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who built an invincible socialist power on this land and laid a solid foundation for the prosperity of Songun Korea.

The Samjiyon Band of the Mansudae Art Troupe gave a performance at the People's Palace of Culture.

Put on the stage were colorful numbers such as instrumental music and song "Happy New Year", female sextet "Our Satellite Lifted Off to the Sky" and music for violin "Strong Yearnings".

The People's Theater was a venue of the concert by the State Symphony Orchestra and a song and dance performance by the State Folk Art Troupe.

Movie persons staged light comedy "Love" and the Pyongyang Circus gave circus drama "Tale of Chun Hyang", adding to the pleasure of the people on the New Year.

Performances were also given in North Hwanghae Province, North Phyongan Province and other places across the country, encouraging the people to turn out in the new year's advance.
