Remembrance Meetings Held at DPRK Missions Overseas
Pyongyang, January 2 (KCNA) -- Meetings took place at DPRK embassies in Hanoi, Kuala Lumpur and Kinshasa from Dec. 13 to 17 last year to mark the first anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Displayed in the venues of the meetings were photos of the peerlessly great men on their undying revolutionary feats.

Their participants paid silent tribute to Kim Jong Il.

Pham Tat Dong, chairman of the Vietnam-DPRK Friendship Association, said that Kim Jong Il was not only the great leader of the Korean people but a close friend of the Vietnamese people.

Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism will shed its rays as an eternal guiding idea of the DPRK, he noted, adding:

He keenly realized the deep reverence of the world people for President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il during his visit to the DPRK on the occasion of the 100th Day of the Sun.

Congratulating the DPRK on its successful satellite launch, he stressed that it was a miracle, indeed, that the DPRK successfully launched the satellite despite the U.S. moves to stifle it.

He expressed his will to make sustained efforts to develop the friendly relations with the DPRK.

The chairman of the Malaysian committee for remembering Generalissimo Kim Jong Il said that the great idea and immortal exploits of Kim Jong Il provide a sure guarantee for socialist cause in the DPRK and the cause of global independence.

Though Kim Jong Il passed away, he will always be remembered by the Malaysian and Korean peoples, he noted.

Otete Gaston Mboyo, chairman of the Democratic Congolese committee for remembering Kim Jong Il, praised the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un for successfully carrying out the cause of immortalizing the leader and energetically leading the Korean people in their drive to build a thriving nation and accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche.
