Kim Jong Suk's Birth Anniversary Marked Abroad
Pyongyang, January 2 (KCNA) -- Foreign newspapers and internet homepages of different countries devoted special write-ups to the 95th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.

The Russian newspaper Vladivostok on Dec. 12 last year carried an article titled "She Worked Hard for Women's Emancipation All Her Life" illustrated with her photo.

The article said a large number of Korean women grew to be excellent revolutionaries under the care of Kim Jong Suk who took part in the sacred war for the country's liberation at her early age under President Kim Il Sung's leadership and won fame as an anti-Japanese war hero and woman commander of Mt. Paektu.

The Indonesian newspaper Suara Karya on Dec. 24 last year said in an article titled "Eternal Image Remembered by People" that short as Kim Jong Suk's life was, she is always remembered by the Korean people and the world progressives as an anti-Japanese war hero and outstanding woman revolutionary.

The Korean people erected her statues at time-honored places associated with her noble life and named some units after her august name, it added.

Polish internet homepage "DPRK" on the same day posted an article "Mother Is Always with Us" under the caption "Eternal Anniversaries" accompanied with her photo.

It carried an explanatory note that "December 24 is a significant day for the DPRK" and was illustrated with photos which she had taken with Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in the days of the anti-Japanese armed struggle and in the period of building a new country after liberation and photos of Kim Jong Il inspecting units of the Korean People's Army.

The internet homepage of the MS Travel Agency of Germany posted an article praising her revolutionary life and exploits accompanied with a photo showing her statue on the same day.
