Killing of Civilians by Power Disclosed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, January 3 (KCNA) -- The Seoul Central District Court of south Korea admitted that the right-wing gangs killed civilians on Kanghwa Island during the last Korean War with the consent of the then power.

During the Korean War the ultra right-wing organization Kanghwa Homeland Defense Commando Unit took away islanders in group and mercilessly tortured them for the reason that they helped the People's Army or sent their kinsmen to the army.

Not content with this, those gangsters killed all of them at the instructions of the police and at its tacit connivance.

The south Korean Committee for Settling the Past History for Truth and Reconciliation investigated into the case in July of 2008 and made public the results that more than 430 people were killed at that time.

The truth has been disclosed though belatedly by the strong protest struggle of the bereaved families of the victims against the puppet regime.
