The premier encouraged the electricity producers who turned out in the general offensive for consolidating the springboard for building an economic power after receiving the historic new year address of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Then he acquainted himself with the power production there and equipment management and convened a consultative meeting of officials concerned.

He stressed the need to spur the building of an economic power by increasing the coal and electricity production, quoting the new year address in which Kim Jong Un put an emphasis on shoring up the vanguard sectors of the national economy and the sectors of basic industries.

At the meeting the significance of the increase in the coal and electricity production was mentioned and the issue to tighten mutual cooperation between the power industry and the coal industry was also discussed.

Measures were taken to timely provide the materials in need for repairing equipment to increase the electricity production and to supply the power to the coal-mines tasked with the supply of coal for electricity production.

Organization was made there to contribute to increasing the coal production by providing the coal-mines in the areas of Pukchang, Tokchon and Tukjang with key materials to meet their demand and by reasonably choosing the places of producing and supplying prop timbers.

Earlier, the premier looked round the February 8 Jiktong Youth Coal Mine which plays a principal role in the coal production of the country to give a pep-talk to the coal-miners in their drive for increased production.
