Rodong Sinmun Saturday says in a bylined commentary in this regard:

This is a vicious challenge to all Koreans who desire improved north-south relations.

The Lee regime let loose such invectives against the DPRK as "provocations" and need to defend "the northern limit line" while giving up even the annual opening ceremony for the year. It staged live-shell firing and other war drills in the forefront area. These were rare developments.

The Lee group of traitors has got frantic with confrontation with fellow countrymen in the entire period of its office. But, upset by the trend of the times, it is making last-ditch efforts to justify the confrontation policy and keep the next regime in "the framework of its policy towards the north".

It is imperative to eliminate all traitors who know nothing but confrontation and war in order to dispel the danger of war from the Korean nation and pave the wide avenue for peace and reunification.

This is the lesson the Korean nation drew once again from the reckless behavior of the Lee group.

Now all Koreans sharply watch whether the south Korean ruling quarters will persist in confrontation with fellow countrymen which will lead to a war, despite the trend of the times, or they will choose reconciliation, unity and national reunification, the way to peace and co-prosperity.

Those seeking confrontation and war are bound to meet stern punishment by history and the nation.
