Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- Working people in the fields of agriculture and light industry of the DPRK have turned out in the efforts to improve the standard of people's living, encouraged by the dear respected Kim Jong Un's New Year address. Hong Myong Gwan, a work-team head of the Wonhwa Co-op Farm in Phyongwon County, South Phyongan Province, told KCNA: "In his New Year address, the dear respected Kim Jong Un said that the success in economic construction should be manifested in the people's standard of living. I will work harder to put farming on a scientific and intensive basis and apply the ring-shaped rotation production system to agricultural production in order to hit the yearly target for grain output." Ri Thae Sok, chief engineer of the Pyongyang Hosiery Factory, said: "Kim Jong Un's New Year address based on his deep love for the people made me sorely miss leader Kim Jong Il. The New Year address calls for big efforts to developing light industry, along with agriculture. I will do my best to produce quality hosiery in large quantities this year, true to his noble intention. My factory will take the lead in this year's drive for the improvement of people's standard of living." Yu Jong Sik, a shock-brigade member taking part in the project for reclaiming the Sepho tableland, said: "I will devote myself to carrying into practice the Workers' Party of Korea's grandiose nature-remaking plan for turning the Sepho tableland into a large-scale integrated stockbreeding base." |
