In this regard, Kim Han Il, vice-minister of Metal Industry, told KCNA:

"The New Year address has hardened my determination to devote myself to bringing about a radical turn in metal production.

I will do my best to carry into practice Marshal Kim Jong Un's intention to make the Korean people be well off."

Ri Ho Chol, vice-minister of Coal Industry, said:

"In the New Year address, Kim Jong Un said innovations should be made in coal industry to revitalize the nation's economy.

I will always find myself in coal mines to help boost coal output."
