New Kind of Battery Developed in DPRK
Pyongyang, January 7 (KCNA) -- The Koryo Samhwa Joint Venture Company in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has succeeded in developing a new kind of air-tight battery.

This battery consumes 30 percent less electricity and it is 10 percent lower in production cost and twice longer in serviceable life, as compared with vitriolic electrolyte-based one.

It can be used for storage-battery car or as alternative power in locomotive, ship, power station and post office.

The car, powered by this battery, can run for eight hours at an average speed of 70 kilometers per hour and maximum speed of 180 kilometers per hour.

It can be applied even to 75-h.p. bulldozer.
