National reunification is the lifetime desire of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and their behests and the supreme national task whose fulfillment brooks no further delay.

We will dynamically advance, keeping pace with patriotic activities for reunification of all Koreans in the north and the south and abroad from the standpoint of giving priority to the nation and attaching importance to it and achieving its unity, in hearty response to the call for opening a new phase of national reunification through a nationwide united patriotic struggle for reunification this year.

We will wage a dynamic struggle for implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, great programmes for reunification common to the nation and milestones of peace and prosperity in the new century.

For national reunification it is necessary to decisively reject any foreign forces' moves for domination, intervention, aggression and war and never tolerate any act of hindering the country's reunification.

The Lee Myung Bak group in south Korea should give up at once the confrontation with the DPRK escalated from the outset of the year and opt for the national reconciliation, unity and reunification.
