British Organizations Hail DPRK's Socialist Constitution

Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- The British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the British Branch of the Korean Friendship Association made public a joint statement on Dec. 24 last year on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of the Socialist Constitution of the DPRK promulgated by President Kim Il Sung.

Noting that the DPRK Socialist Constitution is the Juche-based constitution stipulating and firmly guaranteeing the characteristics of the state and duty and rights of its citizens, the joint statement said that its promulgation amounted to a legal statement that the DPRK is an advanced socialist system free from exploitation and suppression.

It ensures the legitimate rights of the popular masses and provides a firm legal ground for fully displaying the advantages of socialism, the statement noted, adding:

Its promulgation fully encourages the progressive people striving for independence and socialism.

The Korean people have achieved greater successes in embodying the Socialist Constitution under the Songun revolutionary leadership of the dear respected Marshal Kim Jong Un.

Long live the 40th anniversary of the promulgation of the DPRK Socialist Constitution!
