All the Koreans in the north and the south and overseas should dynamically spur the June 15 era of reunification associated with the patriotic devotion of Kim Jong Il, holding fast to Kim Jong Il's patriotism as a powerful ideological and moral weapon in the present struggle for national reunification.

The historic June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration are the banner that the Korean nation should invariably hold in the struggle for national reunification.

The stand and attitude to the inter-Korean declarations serve as a touchstone distinguishing national independence from dependence upon foreign forces, reconciliation between the north and the south from confrontation and reunification from division.
