Confrontation Will Bring War Only: Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- Confrontation with fellow countrymen sought by the south Korean Lee Myung Bak regime whose office is waning to a close is dangerous as it triggers a war, says Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a bylined article.

Confrontation will bring a war and disasters only, says the article, adding it is a token of an extreme hostile policy toward compatriots.

The ulterior aim sought by the Lee's regime is to obstruct national reconciliation and unity, do harm to fellow countrymen and realize its ambition for invading the north, the article says, and goes on:

The south Korean regime's traitorous act will plunge the north-south ties into further deadlock and bring about a war in the end.

This has been proved by the 5-year office of the Lee's regime.

Though its term is about to end, the regime engrossed in confrontation with fellow countrymen is making desperate efforts to step up political and military provocations against the north.

It has increased the tension on five islands in the West Sea of Korea and their surrounding waters, calling for preserving the illegal "northern limit line".

It also labeled the north "a principal enemy" on its "white paper on defense" and incited hostility against compatriots within the military.

The south Korean regime's reckless moves compel all the Koreans to recall the lesson of history that confrontation with fellow countrymen will lead to a war.

Confrontation can not be a way out but instead will accelerate self-destruction.
