The commentary says:

Chon tried to cover up the crimes of bedeviling the north-south relations, which had promoted reconciliation, unity and cooperation, with such rhetoric as the "decision-making right for peace". He even described the deaths of innocent people and insecurity in south Korea as "contribution to peace". This shows his wrong way of thinking regarding confrontation as peace.

He even said that peace should not be bought with money, reflection of his ignorance of the situation. It is, in essence, the total denial of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration which opened up the avenue for independent reunification, peace and prosperity of the country, and big insult to the era of independent reunification when the Korean people paved the ways for peace and reunification in the spirit of "By our nation itself".

Chon said that he has become a "hard-liner" because of the north. This is a lame excuse to cover up his crimes of taking the lead in bedeviling the north-south relations as lackey of Lee Myung Bak.

What is more despicable is that he said the next regime's "north policy will basically not be different" from theirs.

It is a poor trick to justify their anti-reunification policy of confrontation and induce the next regime to continue the policy.

Lee Myung Bak and Chon Yong U would be well advised to mind their fate destined to ruin, not the next regime's "north policy".
