The Federal Leadership of the Left Bloc of the Austrian Trade Union Federation fully supported the tasks set forth in the New Year Address, its part dealing with the issue of Korea's reunification in particular.

The policy of confrontation with fellow countrymen pursued by the Lee Myung Bak puppet regime in south Korea created a touch-and-go situation on the Korean Peninsula and it has been exploited by the U.S. imperialists as a tool for carrying out their strategy for dominating the world, the organization said.

The south Korean regime should roll back its confrontation policy and opt for realizing the old wish of the Korean nation for its reunification, it noted.

It said that it is convinced that the New Year Address serves as a landmark for Korea's reunification.

The Group of Youth for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Vienna fully supported the part of the New Year Address dealing with the issue of Korea's reunification and urged the south Korean regime to abandon its confrontation policy and take the road of peaceful reunification of Korea.
