The Japanese warmongers' aim is to lay a legal framework to turn Japan into a military power and realize without fail its ambition for reinvasion backed by the U.S.

It is an invariable ambition of the Japanese militarists to realize the old dream "Greater East Asia Co-prosperity Sphere" which they could not do in the past through the legalization of reinvasion against Asia-Pacific countries.

Japan has systematically stepped up its moves to turn itself into a military giant while talking about "revenge" for its defeat in war. Whenever an opportunity presented itself, Japan removed one by one legal and institutional mechanisms as they are obstacles to realizing its scenario for turning itself into a military giant.

Under the pretext of coping with emergency in its vicinity, Japan recovered the SDF's rights to take part in a war and wage a war and established a wartime system whereby the prime minister can mobilize armed forces for a war.

The SDF has pushed ahead with the modernization of air and naval striking forces, bolstering up long-distance transport and operation capabilities.

In the new year, the Japanese reactionaries decided to sharply increase the defence budget for fiscal year 2013 so as to reinforce the SDF's strength and equipment.
