The letter said that upon receiving his New Year Address and first message in the new year, the officials of Chongryon deeply grasped his noble intention to glorify the great Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il's idea of the overseas compatriot movement and their feats for all ages.

The letter manifested their firm determination to usher in a new heyday of the Korean movement in Japan without fail, remaining loyal to the leadership of Kim Jong Un, who is taking warm care of Koreans in Japan, saying that he would always be with Chongryon formed by President Kim Il Sung and led by leader Kim Jong Il.

It also reiterated their will to steadily strengthen Chongryon which was formed and emerged victorious under the care of the great men of Mt. Paektu into a model organization of the world overseas compatriot movement, the organization which upholds their leaders and country with pure consciousness and loyalty.

The letter evinced their resolution to thoroughly embody Kim Jong Il's patriotism and thus firmly defend the socialist country advancing toward a final victory and briskly conduct foreign activities to achieve the country's reunification and protect the compatriots' rights.
