Present there were Ho Jong Man, chairman of the Central Standing Committee of Chongryon, Nam Sung U and Ko Tok U, its vice-chairmen, and Pak Ku Ho, its vice-chairman who doubles as chairman of the Committee for Rights and Welfare, Pae Jin Gu, its vice-chairman and general director of its Secretariat, Hong In Hum, chairman of the Central Audit Committee of Chongryon, its department directors, vice-chairpersons of its committee, advisors to Chongryon Central Standing Committee, the permanent advisor and the director of the Research Institute on History of Korean Residents in Japan, leading officials of central organizations and enterprises of Chongryon, chairpersons of Chongryon headquarters in Kanto area and officials of its organizations at various levels and teachers.

The participants first listened to Kim Jong Un's New Year Address.

Read out then was a message of greeting sent by Kim Jong Un to the chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee on the New Year.

Ho in his report said that having received the historic New Year Address and the first message of greeting in the new year with immense excitement, the officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan are now all out in the patriotic movement.

Kim Jong Un's message to the meeting of branch officials of Chongryon indicates important guidelines for dynamically advancing the movement of Koreans in Japan only along the road of Juche, patriotism and prosperity, he noted.

He stressed that the officials of Chongryon would join the people in the homeland in remaining true to Kim Jong Un's leadership, deeply enshrining his noble intention to eternally glorify the idea of Generalissimos Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il on the overseas compatriots movement and their exploits performed in the movement of Koreans in Japan.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.
