Kim Jong Un reviewed with pride the proud achievements made by the Korean people in firmly defending the sovereignty and dignity of the country and building a thriving country last year and set forth the tasks to be fulfilled in different sectors.

The DPRK successfully launched satellite Kwangmyongsong 3-2, fully demonstrating the national power of socialist Korea. This was a historic event that helped push forward the building of an economic giant in the new year, too.

He fully supported the New Year Address on removing the confrontation between the north and the south and respecting and implementing the north-south joint declarations.

The proposal for reunifying Korea set forth in the address is absolutely sympathized by not only the Korean people but the world progressives as it reflects the desire for national unity and peace, he noted.

He vowed to wage a more dynamic movement for supporting the DPRK's building of a thriving socialist country and the peaceful reunification of the Korean Peninsula this year which marks the 65th founding anniversary of the DPRK and the 60th anniversary of the victorious Fatherland Liberation War.
