The new year 2013 is a year of great creations and changes in which a radical turnabout will be effected in the building of a thriving socialist country, Kim Jong Un said, calling upon all the people and service personnel to turn out as one in the gigantic advance for the building of a thriving country.

He stressed the need to remove confrontation between the north and the south, thoroughly implement the north-south joint declarations and settle the reunification issue by the concerted efforts of the Korean nation in an independent manner.

The Korean people will make greater achievements in building a thriving socialist country and certainly reunify the country as long as they are under the leadership of Kim Jong Un.
