Day of Shining Star to Be Celebrated in Benin

| Pyongyang, January 23 (KCNA) -- A Benin national committee to mark the 71st birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was inaugurated with due ceremony in Cotonou on Jan. 17. Hessou Kohovi, chairman of the Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long Live Kim Jong Il, Supreme Leader" and chairman of the Benin National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea, was elected chairman of the national committee. It decided to hold such colorful political and cultural events as meeting and film show on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star. |
