Pyongyang, January 23 (KCNA) -- Counties of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea have conducted a vigorous drive for the improvement of people's living from the outset of the year. Pongsan County in North Hwanghae Province set it as a goal to meet the need of inhabitants for fuel with ultra-anthracite rich in the area. To this end, it is now developing new coal mines by its own efforts on the basis of the survey of ultra-anthracite field and deposits in cooperation with a relevant institution. Officials of the Suan County People's Committee have worked hard to install combustion additive production process at a coal briquette factory in the near future, while arousing inhabitants to build more dwelling houses in the town area and realize the gravity-fed drinking water service. Meanwhile, all inhabitants of Cholsan County in North Phyongan Province turned out to renovate the county people's hospital, finish the construction of library and school and increase the output of raw materials for local industry. Brisk efforts are also being made to set up new production processes at local industrial factories, including foodstuff factory and paper mill. Such projects for improving the people's living are going on in Kowon County, South Hamgyong Province. |
