Pyongyang, January 25 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions released a commentary on January 22 denouncing the "Saenuri Party" for opposing investigation into the state policy over the situation of Ssangyong Motors. Although there are ever-growing voices demanding investigation, this has not properly been conducted due to the party's opposition, the commentary charged. It went on: It is nothing but a trick that the "Saenuri Party" opposes such investigation, asserting there is no need for it under this or that pretext. To conduct such investigation constitutes a basis for holding the "government" responsible for the above-said situation and taking measures to ensure that the people may not suffer any longer as it is a promise the ruling party made to them. However, the party tries to leave the issue of holding the management side accountable for the situation to the court, the commentary noted, adding that the court had already lost its trust as it unilaterally favored the assertion of the management side. What is urgent at present is to conduct an unbiased investigation to correctly clarify the reason behind the situation and improve the law and system related to layoff, it said. It demanded the party comply with the demand for investigation and take the earliest possible measure for reinstating the discharged workers. |
