Day of Shining Star to Be Commemorated in Sri Lanka

| Pyongyang, January 29 (KCNA) -- A Sri Lankan preparatory committee for commemorating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was formed in Colombo on January 19. W. A. Duminduwardane, chairman of the Committee of Self-Reliance Studies in Sri Lanka, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The preparatory committee decided to organize colorful political and cultural events praising the immortal exploits Kim Jong Il performed for the human cause of independence on the occasion of the Day of the Shining Star. |
