U.S., Procrustes of Modern Version
Pyongyang, January 29 (KCNA) -- The United Nations Security Council on January 22 cooked up an anti-DPRK "resolution" over its peaceful satellite launch, at the initiative of the United States.

It is the general knowledge that ballistic missile technology is used in launching satellite.

This being a hard fact, the "resolution" was approved by those countries which have launched most of the satellites in the world, pressurized by the U.S.

It clearly shows that the United Nations is playing in the hands of the U.S.

After the September 11 incident, the U.S. has imprudently staged wars of aggression as if it were a "license for igniting war".

Through the Iraqi war, unleashed by the U.S. under the name of the UNSC, the world people looked into the U.S. scheme to dominate the Middle East with 65 percent of the world's oil deposits.

That is why world's media would say that all of wars, forced by the U.S. under the pretext of defending "human rights" and "peace", were only for its interests, prompted by its ambition for world domination.

The U.S. is now employing the name of the UNSC to drive the situation of the Korean Peninsula to confrontation and war.

Such imprudent behavior reminds one of a tale of Procrustes, a robber in Greek mythology who killed passers-by on an iron bed by stretching their bodies or cutting off their limbs.

The U.S., Procrustes of modern version, infringes upon the sovereignty and interests of independent nations at will, by using the UNSC as such bed.

The DPRK's satellite launch is an exercise of legitimate right of a sovereign state, which never goes against international law.

It would be a mistake for the U.S. to think that it can deprive the DPRK of its right to satellite launch or break its will through the "resolution" on tightening "sanctions".

If the UNSC continues to remain a sacrifice to the U.S. interests, it cannot but be called "Procrustean bed". The UNSC had better change its name into the U.S. Security Council.
