L. Khaisandai, chairman of the Mongolian Mt. Paektu Association for Independent Development and its Executive Chairperson E. Maksim were elected chairman and executive chairperson of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to publish works of Kim Jong Il and organize various politico-cultural events, including Kimjongilia exhibition and seminar on the Juche idea.
