DPRK's Exercise of Its Independent and Legitimate Right to Satellite Launch Supported in Slovenia

Pyongyang, January 31 (KCNA) -- The Slovenia-Korea Friendship Association issued a statement on Jan. 24 in support of the statements of the DPRK National Defence Commission and Foreign Ministry. The statement said the whole world admired the successful satellite launch of the DPRK and even hostile forces including the U.S. acknowledged it, adding: It is a stark fact that the use of ballistic missile technology is the only method of putting a satellite into orbit. Nevertheless, the U.S. is far-fetchedly insisting that the DPRK is not allowed to launch even a satellite for peaceful purposes because its carrier rocket can be converted into a long-range ballistic missile, a threat to the U.S. This is nothing but a brigandish logic and a height of self-deception and double standards. The Slovenia-Korea Friendship Association resolutely condemns and rejects the unreasonable action taken by the U.N. Security Council to wantonly infringe upon the sovereignty of the DPRK and deprive it of its right to satellite launch for peaceful purposes. It fully supports the DPRK's exercise of its independent and legitimate right to satellite launch. The association strongly demands the UNSC immediately withdraw its anti-DPRK "resolution" and put an end to interference in it. It extends full support and solidarity to the stand on denuclearization clarified by the DPRK. |
