The general secretary of the Sind Provincial Committee of the Pakistan Awami National Party paid high tribute to Kim Jong Il and referred to the fact that he devoted his life to the prosperity of the country and happiness of the people.

Shahida Wijarat, chairman of the Society for the Study of Self-Reliance of Pakistan, and Zabed Ansari, secretary general of the Karachi Branch of the Pakistan-Korea Friendship Association, said that the birth of Kim Jong Il was a historic event, adding that humankind would admire him eternally.
