S. Korean Confrontation Maniac's Remarks Battered by Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- Chon Yong U, chief of Diplomacy and Security in Chongwadae of south Korea, said that "the north would lend an ear" if tighter "sanctions" are imposed, while taking issue with its step for bolstering the deterrence. He said that the "core of denuclearization" is to break the north's "illusion" about nuclear weapons. He even let loose such coarse invectives that the "best way" is to tighten "sanctions" so as to be unbearable by the north.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday observes in a bylined commentary in this regard:

The reckless remarks of Chon go to prove that when one is obsessed with confrontation with fellow countrymen, he can not but have a foolish dream.

Chon, failing to properly face up to the present situation, is dreaming a daydream while talking about "minimum of sanctions" and "breaking illusion". His despicable behavior invites derision from the Korean people.

It is the reflection of the foolish ambition of the south Korean confrontation maniacs. No "sanctions" on earth can check the DPRK dynamically advancing upholding the banner of Songun in the same spirit and mettle as were displayed in conquering space.

The DPRK will regard "sanctions" as the declaration of a war. The anti-DPRK campaign for tightening "sanctions" being stepped up by the Lee Myung Bak group will bring catastrophic consequences.

Such confrontation maniacs as Lee Myung Bak and Chon Yong U are running amuck to blatantly challenge the DPRK's just cause of defending sovereignty. They should be mindful that they will have to pay dearly for their hideous acts of treachery.
