Japan Accused of Heading for Military Giant
Pyongyang, February 2 (KCNA) -- Jo Kuk Je, director of the Secretariat of the General Association of Koreans in China, on Jan. 24 released a statement titled "Let's heighten vigilance against Japan's dangerous moves for military giant".

Japan is becoming evermore undisguised in its moves to turn itself into a military giant, the statement said, adding: This is evidenced by the fact that in the draft budget for 2013 the Japanese government decided to drastically increase military expenditure and announced it would reexamine its military strategy confined to its "defense".

This is aimed to provide a legal and financial guarantee for emerging a military giant and launching overseas expansion, it noted.

The moves of the Japanese reactionaries to distort the past history of aggression and turn Japan into a military giant have reached a dangerous phase, it said, and went on:

No matter how hard one works to distort history, one cannot change it.

For Japan to head for a military giant, oblivious of its past lesson, is as foolish an act as precipitating its doom.

If Japan keeps rushing headlong into a military giant, defying the warning of the international community, it will meet only a miserable destruction. The Japanese reactionaries had better stop acting rashly.
