Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- The Socialist Party of Benin made public a statement in support of the statements of the DPRK National Defence Commission and its Foreign Ministry on Jan. 28. The statement said: The U.S. prodded the UNSC into cooking up another "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK, terming its launch of satellite for peaceful purposes "a long-range missile launch" and a "grave challenge" to the world peace and security. In this connection, the DPRK National Defence Commission and its Foreign Ministry issued statements separately, vehemently rejecting the illegal "resolution" fabricated by the UNSC. They also declared in their statements that the DPRK would continue exercising its independent and legitimate right to launch satellites for peaceful purposes in accordance with the universally accepted international law on the peaceful use of outer space and launch an all-out action to frustrate the hostile moves of the U.S. and its followers against the DPRK and safeguard the sovereignty of the country and the nation. The Socialist Party of Benin that has always claimed global independence and fair international order urges the UNSC to immediately retract its "resolution on sanctions" against the DPRK. The Socialist Party of Benin invariably supports all measures taken by the DPRK and extends firm solidarity to the heroic Korean people. |
