Present there were figures of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and the Mexican Institute for the Study of the Juche Idea and other political parties, social organizations, organizations for the study of the Juche idea and organizations for solidarity with the Korean people and masses.

Present there on invitation were the DPRK ambassador to Mexico and staff members of his embassy.

Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

The committee decided to organize colorful events, including meeting, lecture and seminar, on the occasion of the Day of the Sun and the Day of the Shining Star.
