Tour of Paektusan Secret Camp under Way in DPRK
Pyongyang, February 6 (KCNA) -- The study tour of the Paektusan Secret Camp is under way in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea with the approach of the Day of the Shining Star (Feb. 16), the birthday of leader Kim Jong Il.

Taking part in the tour are servicepersons, school youth and children and other people of different social strata.

The camp is the place where the headquarters of the Korean revolution was located and the main unit of the Korean People's Revolutionary Army led by President Kim Il Sung conducted its anti-Japanese armed struggle in the latter half of the 1930s. It is also the birthplace of leader Kim Jong Il.

Some days ago, oath-taking meetings were held before Kim Jong Il's old home in the camp by men and officers of the Korean People's Internal Security Forces and employees under the Ministry of Railways.

And publicity officials of frontrunner primary organizations under the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League began their study tour of the camp.

Preserved in the camp are historic relics related to the childhood of Kim Jong Il, who was born as the son of guerillas.

The camp helps enhance visitors' pride in being members of the Korean nation blessed with illustrious leaders through generations. Through the study tour of it, those visitors harden their will to carry into accomplishment the revolutionary cause of Juche, united closely around the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The Paektusan Secret Camp has been visited by millions of local people, overseas and south Koreans and foreigners since it was restored to the original state and opened to public on February 11, Juche 76 (1987).
