Nurdin Purnomo, chairman of the National Leading Council of the Diversity Party of Indonesia, was elected chairman of the preparatory committee.

It set the period from February 4 to 16 as a celebration period and decided to organize diverse political and cultural events.

He stressed that it is natural to celebrate the birth anniversary of Kim Jong Il as a world holiday.
