U.S. Accused of Its Dangerous War Policy, Arms Buildup
|

Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- Shortly ago, the U.S. conducted a test of a mini-bomb for F-35 pursuit plane. The bomb is capable of adjusting its flight track, hitting ever-changing targets and ensuring high precision strike at moving objects from long distance. It was reported that the U.S. Department of Defense spent nearly 0.7 billion dollars for the development of the bomb. Earlier, the U.S. tested a super-blockbuster with an aim to "destroy nuclear facilities" of its rival side. Minju Joson Thursday in a bylined commentary observes in this regard: The U.S. pretends to be interested in peace, talking about "detente" and "arms reduction" but such bomb test more clearly indicates that it is pursuing a sinister purpose in actuality. It is the contention of the U.S. that it can maintain its status as "the only super power" only when it presses other countries by force and overpowers them militarily. From this viewpoint, it is going in the direction of stepping up the development of new-type weapons despite pressure for budget cut-down. The international situation still remains unstable and peace is seriously disturbed in various parts of the world. This is mainly attributable to the military confrontation policy and arms buildup of the U.S. The U.S. is busy giving spurs to maintaining and bolstering up its military muscle and developing latest weapons. This is driving the world into a pitfall of arms race. And this amounts to a serious challenge to the world peace and development. The nightmare of arms race dating back to the Cold War era is reviving today due to the U.S. arms buildup. All facts go to clearly prove that the U.S. is, indeed, an arch criminal disturbing world peace and stability and a chieftain of arms race. |
