10-day Film Show Opened to Mark Day of Shining Star
Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- There opened in the DPRK a 10-day film show to celebrate the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star).

In the period of the event, Korean documentaries are to be screened at movie houses and halls of culture all over the country including Pyongyang.

They include "Under the Guidance of the Great Brilliant Commander", "The Great Leadership for Pushing Back the Frontiers of Science and Technology in Korean Style" and "Shining Star above Mt. Paektu".

All of them deal with the glorious revolutionary history of Kim Jong Il and his undying feats.

Such feature films as "Legacy", "White Gem", "Wish" and "Comrade Kim Goes Flying" will also be screened.

An opening ceremony took place at the People's Palace of Culture Thursday.

Present there were Kim Ki Nam and officials concerned, creators and artistes in the field of movie art and Pyongyangites.

At the end of the ceremony, they watched a documentary "Building a Socialist Paradise in the Era of Songun".

Similar events took place in every province on the same day.
