S. Korean Organization Declares Large-scale Action for Settlement of Labor Issues

Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- The Emergency Situation Council for Urgently Coping with Lay-off, Part-time Job and Destruction of Trade Unions in south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on Tuesday and declared a large-scale February actions of workers, according to CBS of south Korea.

The organization at the conference urged the authorities to take care of the labor issues such as the withdrawal of layoff and retraction of the part-time job for members of Hanjin Heavy Industry, Ssangyong Motors and Hyundai Motors unions.

The large-scale actions would continue till the demands of trade unions are met, the organization stressed.

Meanwhile, the All-People Measure Committee of Ssangyong Motor held a press conference in Seoul on the same day at which it declared that it would fight it out for the settlement of the Ssangyong Motor's situation.
