Attending the ceremony were King Norodom Sihamoni, Great Queen Norodom Monineath Sihanouk, President of the Senate Chea Sim, President of the National Assembly Heng Samlin, Prime Minister Hun Sen and one million people from all walks of life.

Amidst the boom of a gun salute, the funeral car left the Royal Palace led by the flag of the King and the honor guards. It was driven through streets before arriving at the ornate crematorium structure built at Veal Preah Meru.

The funeral service for the Great King took place there on Feb. 4.
